LCB will follow COVID-19 government guidelines.
LCB runs a non-residential week-long summer school for girls. All are welcome and classes are streamed by technical standard and age. LCB summer school is always over-subscribed, so we suggest that you register early.
We do accept applications from children who do not live in the UK, but please note that we do not provide accommodation or bursaries for overseas students, and we require that English must be understood and spoken.
LCB's Performance Summer School is an opportunity for dancers aged 9 - 14 to take part in a varied selection of classes and workshops based on all aspects of performance. There is no audition required. The week offers excellent teaching across a variety of dance styles, as well as workshops on stage hair, costumes and choreography. In addition to being a great way to get ahead in ballet, dance and performance, it is a week packed with fun and is a great way for children to make new friends. Highlights through the programme include special performances from stars of the West End. On the last day the children will perform sections from an LCB ballet, in costume for family. The objective of this week is for participants to develop their technique and to enhance and improve their presentation skills by breaking down the many attributes required for a strong performance. The summer school includes a daily ballet class, repertoire classes, jazz dance, contemporary dance, performances skills workshops, Musical Theatre rep, professional demonstrations, and pointe class (for those en pointe, 12-14 years week only).
