LCB2 Tour: Maggie's experience of a lifetime

Posted on Monday 2nd March, 2015

Being part of the London Children’s Ballet tour was a fantastic new experience for me. I made lots of new friends and developed my performance skills.  Before going on the tour I had never set foot in a residential care home or special needs school, which made it even more exciting.

Rehearsals were really fun, however the actual tour with the costumes was incredible.  Performing in front of an audience really brought the experience to life.  As much as I enjoyed the actual dancing, I really enjoyed meeting the audiences.  At the special needs schools (if the children were able), we would teach them some of the steps and then perform them together and at the residential homes we would have a short meet and greet.

I loved seeing the smiles on the different audiences faces when we danced. Overall it was an experience of a lifetime and I hope to do it again sometime in the future!
