Can you help support the future of LCB?

LCB is a charitable trust, funded primarily through the generosity of individuals, trusts and foundations and companies

“In 1994, I advertised auditions for a new children’s ballet company in the Dancing Times for which there would be no charge. 133 children turned up, some boys in shorts, t-shirts and bare feet, some girls with perfect ballet buns. There was a great excitement in the air. We had accidentally stumbled across undiscovered talent that was the start of London Children’s Ballet.” — Lucille Briance, Founder

Why Support LCB?

It is often assumed that the cost of running LCB is covered by theatre ticket sales. This is far from the case. LCB needs to raise a considerable sum annually to deliver professional productions and outreach work in the community.

  • £3,790

Puts one young dancer through the 7-month audition-to-performance experience

  • £6,000

Enables a three-day tour to care homes and special needs schools

  • £400

Funds a single workshop at a primary school in a disadvantaged area

  • £6,000

Commissions a new classical score from an up-and-coming composer

  • £120

Creates a beautiful costume for a leading dancer, used for the production, tours and outreach

  • £19

Sponsors a ticket for one elderly person to attend an LCB ballet
